Eyes Nose Mouth

One of Devon's favorite things to do is to draw faces. Whenever she's ready to create, she'll come up to me with a crayon in hand and say
"Mommy, eyes...nose..mouth!" Now that she's around her Uncle Mike, her drawing skills have definitely increased. These are some of my favorites...
Isaac says this one reminds him of "Timmy" from SouthPark and this one's "Butters"This is an octopus with whiskers and a uni brow:)

Cashmere Cardigan

Here's a custom little cardigan I just made (for a favorite customer of mine) using re-purposed cashmere. I do have enough cashmere to make one more for the shop. It'll be a different (darker) shade of grey and I'll have to change up the silhouette as well. I don't have enough to make the adorable hood, but I promise it'll be super sweet too!

Boy Blues

Even though our shop is focused on baby/toddler girls, we are open to custom orders for the "little man" in your life as well. Here's a three piece (french terry/thermal) set I just shipped off to the friend of an old friend:)

Fall Colors

It seems weird to be thinking about Fall (when it just finally feels like Summer here in Southern California) but it's getting to be that time, so I'm switching our shop slowly into it's Fall styles. Here's a sneak peek of our new Fall Pallet (I'm also doing deep reds, dusty/dark blues, and camel colors)

Inspiration: Sweet Bestiary

I've been a fan of Sweet Bestiary's gorgeous finger puppets for sometime (how could you not fall in love with these adorable faces) but what really gets me going is how every single little beasty is adorned in the most perfect teeny outfit! If I could be assured that Devon would not be tempted to play with it, I would get one in a heartbeat, but I also would hate to deny her the chance so I dare not...
These little brooches might be a better alternative for her (and a perfect accessory for our photo shoots) As I'm starting to piece together our Fall line I can't stop thinking of how Devon would make one sweet beast:)

Sew bored...

Sorry to disappear, but lately I feel like it's just been sew, sew, sew (not very interesting for poor Devon) So Isaac and I have been trying to figure out some fun things to do in our new city. My friend Heather (who I'm convinced knows where everything is for every city in Orange Co) clued me into all the great thrifting in the area and to the fact that we're right around the block from Downtown Disney. I mean, I knew we were right next door to Disneyland (how could you not) but I didn't realise that you didn't have to actually enter the park to have access to all these great shops that are total eye candy for Devon (like Legoland and Build-a-Bear) She flipped out when she saw this Lego Woody (she's made me watch Toystory and Toystory 2 like a gazillion times) She still hasn't seen the newest yet, but everyone keeps telling me that it made them totally bawl, so gotta be prepared......to Devon, everything that's on the larger side is a "Momma" if it's smaller then it's an "Awwwww, Baby!" When she saw this guy it was like "WOOOOW, MOMMAAAA!" It's kinda hard to tell the massiveness of this giraffe by my shot. You can really see it in this pic of his brother from Berlin.
It's also a great place to shoot new items, since all the activity really brought her mood up. Here she's modeling our updated cardi and newest little top. I've also just started to work on a fanpage for DevonRose, so please drop by and support...keep Devon smiling:)
